Requirements

  • Registered Nurse licensure
  • Adherence to FVC/FMCNA Compliance Program, regulatory, and policy requirements
  • Competency in standard nursing techniques, emergency procedures (e.g., CPR), IV insertion, moderate sedation administration, sterile technique, and point-of-care laboratory testing
  • Ability to operate facility equipment (e.g., patient monitors, defibrillators, sterilizers, computers)
  • Compliance with federal, state, and local regulations for medication administration and procedures
  • Availability for per diem (PRN) schedule

Responsibilities

  • Support and drive FVC quality standards, including regulatory compliance, CQI practices, and facility action plans
  • Address adverse events, maintain medical and operational records, comply with data collection/auditing, and ensure environmental integrity/safety
  • Obtain medical history, perform nursing assessments, educate patients/families on post-procedure care, monitor patients pre/during/post-procedure (especially with sedation/contrast), and act as patient resource
  • Complete accurate documentation from admission to discharge, confirm orders/consents/lab work, prepare/deliver lab requisitions, and report results
  • Administer medications/IV moderate sedation per physician orders, assist as scrub technologist, perform point-of-care testing/IV insertions, transport patients, and handle additional physician-directed tasks
  • Maintain emergency readiness and initiate CPR/emergency measures as needed
  • Provide regular communication with physicians, participate in CQI meetings, assist with instruments/equipment verification, and report adverse events
  • Operate and inspect facility equipment safely and efficiently
