Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with an active license in the state of practice required upon hire
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Responsibilities

Provide hands-on patient care, including assessments, vitals, health history, and nursing assessments
Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards
Coordinate clinic activities and patient care to ensure seamless care
Support scheduling, order entry, and oversee appointment scheduling, ensuring preferences for emergencies and timely patient flow
Triage patient and caregiver phone calls utilizing protocols and critical thinking
Prepare equipment and assist provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing
Observe, record, and report patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider
Greet patients, prepare them for physical examination, and document information in patient chart
Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests
Educate patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness
Suggest solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints
Maintain exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensure cleanliness, and prepare list of medical supplies needed
Assure appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol, perform quality control, and maintain records on all lab testing
