Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Ability to work rotating extended hours: M-F 5-9PM; Sat-Sun 9AM-3PM (no nights)
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Responsibilities

Triage and assess oncology patients
Administer treatments and transfusions in an oncology infusion center setting
Provide nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
Review physician prescriptions, communicate nursing care plans, coordinate with healthcare providers, and confer with physicians
Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting conditions, conferring with family and friends, and establishing objectives and interventions
Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients/families on conditions, medications, and self-care, answering questions, and providing resources
Evaluate patient care by adhering to standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changes, and modifying care plans
Maintain safe patient care environment by following infection-control policies, medication procedures, controlled substance regulations, organization standards, and legal requirements
Document patient care services in records
Maintain patient care equipment by following instructions, troubleshooting, performing maintenance, and calling for repairs
Manage patient care supplies by checking stock, anticipating needs, ordering, verifying receipt, and stocking items
