Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Ability to work night shift (6:45 p.m.-7:15 a.m., 48 hours/week, every other weekend, every third holiday)
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership

Responsibilities

Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical condition, psychological status, and social factors, conferring with family and friends, developing nursing diagnosis, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, schedules, and timetables
Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plan and pertinent information to healthcare team, coordinating with other providers, providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
Teach healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients, families, and friends on condition, medications, and self-care skills, answering questions, providing information and resources
Evaluate patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, reviewing patient records, noting changing conditions and needs, re-evaluating care objectives, modifying nursing care plan
Maintain safe, secure, and healthy patient care environment by adhering to infection-control policies, medication administration and storage procedures, controlled substance regulations, organization standards, policies, and legal regulations; alerting others to potential concerns
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Keep patient care equipment operating by following instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, calling for repairs
Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, placing and expediting orders, verifying receipt, stocking items
