Ability to work rotating shifts: days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (7am-7pm & 7pm-7am; every 3rd weekend/holiday; 48hrs/2wks)

Responsibilities

Delivers nursing care by developing nursing diagnosis, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
Provides patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plans, coordinating with healthcare team, and conferring with physicians
Develops nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting physical/psychological status and social factors, conferring with family/friends, establishing objectives, and defining interventions/schedules
Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing patient care goals, instructing patients/families/friends on conditions/medications/self-care, answering questions, and providing resources
Evaluates patient care by adhering to standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changes, re-evaluating objectives, and modifying care plans
Maintains safe patient care environment by following infection-control policies, medication procedures, controlled substance regulations, organizational standards, and legal requirements; alerting others to concerns
Documents patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Maintains patient care equipment by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Manages patient care supplies by checking stock, anticipating needs, ordering/expediting, verifying receipt, and stocking items
Interviewing, hiring, developing, training, retaining employees; planning, assigning, leading work; appraising performance; rewarding/coaching; addressing complaints/resolving problems
