Requirements

Registered Nurse (RN) license from the Board of Nursing - active in the state of practice upon hire
1-3 years of experience
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds

Responsibilities

Administer immunizations/inoculations consistent with good nursing practice and coordinate immunization programs
Follow up on immunizations and assure proper record keeping
Observe, record, and report employee reactions to drugs and treatments to appropriate individuals
Maintain inoculation rooms for necessary supplies and materials, ensure cleanliness, and prepare lists of needed medical supplies
Occasionally travel to owned or managed facilities as directed
Promote Avera’s values of compassion, hospitality, and stewardship
