Registered Nurse (RN) - active license in the state of practice from Board of Nursing
Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
Ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds
Ability to work rotating days/evenings/nights/weekends/holidays (72hrs/2wks, every 3rd weekend/holiday)
Maintain physical health and proper weight, not to exceed 240 pounds
Maintain competence in nursing capabilities outlined by leadership

Responsibilities

Deliver nursing care by developing nursing diagnosis, establishing care objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends
Provide patient care by reviewing physician prescriptions, communicating nursing care plan to health care team, coordinating with providers, and supporting patients/families
Develop nursing care plans by obtaining medical histories, examining patients, documenting condition/psychological status/social factors, conferring with family/friends, establishing diagnosis/objectives/interventions/schedules
Teach healthcare requirements by establishing goals, instructing patients/families/friends on condition/medications/self-care, answering questions, and providing resources
Evaluate patient care by adhering to standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, noting changes, re-evaluating objectives, and modifying care plans
Maintain safe patient care environment by following infection-control policies, medication procedures, controlled substance regulations, organization standards, and legal requirements; alert others to concerns
Document patient care services by charting in patient and department records
Maintain patient care equipment by following instructions, troubleshooting, maintaining supplies, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs
Keep patient care supplies ready by checking stock, anticipating needs, ordering/expediting/verifying/stocking items
