Requirements

ASN or ADN and a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Current unrestricted RN license in applicable state (multi-state licensure required if providing services in multiple states)
Satisfactory completion of a Tuberculosis test
Hepatitis B vaccine or signed waiver
Must work from the posted location (Conroe, TX) full-time; candidates not within reasonable commuting distance will not be considered unless accommodation granted

Responsibilities

Performs duties within the Nurse’s scope of practice, facility’s policies/procedures, INS Standards of practice, and approved facility protocols
Administers ordered therapies according to prescriber order, facility protocols, INS standards, and company policy and procedures
Completes admission process as directed by Center Director
Performs physical assessment on each patient as warranted and for new consults as warranted by the patient diagnosis
Refers to the NP on duty for complete physical assessment as needed
Documents all pertinent data in the patient’s medical record
Reports all significant changes or observations to the NP on duty and follows up on any identified problems
Evaluates the patient’s response to therapy and documents findings in the medical record
Educates patients and/or family members regarding therapy plan
Ensures that all medication orders are complete, appropriate, accurate, and up to date prior to treatment
Adheres to all applicable state, local, and Federal laws/regulations, including maintaining patient confidentiality through HIPAA compliance
