Requirements

  • NMC Registered Nurse
  • Commitment and passion for dialysis nursing
  • Skills and competencies to manage technical nursing aspects alongside holistic care
  • Right attitude and aptitude (NHS or private care sector experience preferred, renal experience advantageous but not required)
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Availability for full-time role (37.5 hours/week) with various shifts between 6:30am to 11:30pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and 6:30am to 6:30pm Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday

Responsibilities

  • Assess care needs of dialysis patients with chronic kidney disease or acute kidney injury
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate care plans for dialysis patients
  • Work autonomously in a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, supported by HCAs
  • Provide holistic care while managing technical aspects of haemodialysis in a unit with 13 stations serving up to 65 patients
