Requirements

Must hold a minimum ACA-CSC Entry Level Trained / Certified qualification (i.e. Level 1)
Must hold a minimum Canadian Ski Instructors Alliance (CSIA) Level 1
Willing and able to work outdoors in a variety of unpredictable weather conditions
Must be able to work weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) from Christmas through March Break
Successful applicants (18yrs of age+) are required to provide a Criminal Background Check (Vulnerable Sector Search)
Previous race, race coach and/or ski instructing experience considered an asset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills and excellent customer service skills

Responsibilities

Provide a safe, fun and personalized race training environment for skill development of athletes
Work with the Manager and Assistant Manager of Race, Race Supervisors and co-coach to design, implement, evaluate and adjust season-long training and competition plans
Engage, motivate and lead your team and athletes
Teach by example with frequent demonstrations
Be prepared with a plan and maintain an accurate journal of training activities
Maintain frequent contact with parents
Facilitate team trips to other races and events in the area
Promote Blue Mountain and act as role model for athletes
Responsible for the safety, skill development and supervision of all athletes on the team
Help Supervisors create and maintain an athlete centered training and race environment by providing quality service in a professional, well-organized and up to date manner
Assist the Head Coach, Supervisors and Race Administrative Coordinators with all aspects of training and race duties as required
