Instrument Sales Representative (Molecular Spectroscopy)
Thermo Fisher Scientific- Full Time
- Junior (1 to 2 years)
Candidates must possess a Ph.D. in Physics, Applied Physics, or Electrical Engineering with an emphasis on cryogenic instrumentation supporting advanced measurement techniques, and U.S. citizenship is required. They should also be able to obtain and maintain a US Government security clearance as required, along with experience in technical communications through oral presentations, written reports, and journal publications.
The Quantum Physicist will be a main contributor toward the development of cryogenic hardware supporting spin qubit devices and testing relevant environmental control requirements, leading cryogenic design and associated cryogenic measurements by understanding all system requirements and how they translate to hardware requirements. They will develop an experimental plan and lead its successful execution if requirements are unknown, completing this through proper data analysis, modeling, and assimilating historical understanding, and working with a dynamic integrated engineering team and collaborating with others in a constructive manner.
Develops cognitive systems for human-machine collaboration
HRL Laboratories focuses on research and development of advanced cognitive systems and human-machine collaboration, enhancing human cognitive abilities through artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML). The company develops solutions like the ICArUS project, which improves machine interpretation of information, and the MEMES project, aimed at enhancing human memory. HRL operates on a project-based model, serving clients in defense and high-tech sectors by delivering customized solutions and licensing technologies. The goal is to lead in creating cognitive systems that improve the interaction between humans and machines.
