Candidates should have a technical background in electronics or a related field, such as an associate degree or technical certification, along with some experience in quality assurance, preferably in a manufacturing setting. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies like root cause analysis, 8D, or 5 Whys is required, and a basic understanding of quality standards like ISO 9001 is a plus. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, proficiency in using inspection tools such as multimeters, calipers, and microscopes, and the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications are essential. Good communication and teamwork skills are also necessary.
The Quality Technician will perform inspections of electronic components, assemblies, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. They will conduct root cause analysis and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions for quality issues. Collaboration with production teams to ensure quality protocols are followed throughout the manufacturing process is required. The technician will document inspection results and quality findings using established reporting tools and systems, calibrate and maintain inspection equipment and tools, and participate in internal audits to ensure adherence to quality management systems. Additionally, they will provide feedback and recommendations for process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency, and support new product introduction activities by verifying quality standards during the initial production phase.
