Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field (packaging or plastics preferred)
  • Minimum of five (5) years of relevant Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Functional knowledge of statistical process controls and manufacturing operations
  • Proficiency with statistical software application, such as Minitab
  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills at the level appropriate to represent Plastipak to customers, vendors, regulatory agencies and executives

Responsibilities

  • Formulate and maintain Quality Control objectives and coordinate these objectives with the Production procedures to maximize product reliability and minimize costs
  • Uphold ISO compliance and maintain quality and safety programs, ensuring applicable programs are sustainable and effective (i.e. GMP, OSHA, HACCP, etc.)
  • Govern Quality Control through internal and external audits, data analysis and reporting, documentation and other due diligence
  • Champion Continuous Improvement Team, and provide guidance and oversight to customers and leadership team
  • Serve as primary contact between the customer and production facility (i.e. serves as the voice of the customer regarding all quality related activities)
  • Manage a team of 10+ Quality Assurance team members and support a facility operating 24x7
  • Serve as a member of the Site Steering Committee, comprised of the site functional leaders
