Requirements

Minimum BS in Metallurgy, Materials, Mechanical Engineering or similar scientific field; MBA preferred
At least 10 years’ experience (15+ preferred) in a quality functional role within a manufacturing environment (Aerospace, automotive, or pharmaceutical experience preferred)
5+ years’ experience leading a quality system and team

Responsibilities

Drive and maintain a strong quality management system that is robust, risk-based, and compliant with ISO 9001, internal procedures, and customer expectations
Lead a team of quality control and quality assurance individuals to ensure top product quality for customers
Drive and maintain a strong quality culture that complies with internal and external requirements
Support continuous improvement of the quality management system for continued growth
Build strong, positive relationships with customers to ensure trust
Manage stressful situations with composure, resolve complex problems through collaboration, and maintain a positive attitude and environment
Support the site in continued use and updating of FMEA and Control Plans, using outputs to drive improvements and reduce risk throughout the process
Support an environment with strong root cause analysis using tools such as 5-why, Ishikawa, brainstorming, etc., to drive internal and external corrective and preventative actions
Lead and mentor both within and outside the quality team, provide training, and develop a quality-focused organizational culture
