Responsibilities

  • Complete investigations for hardware and software customer complaints
  • Document investigation results in compliance with complaint handling procedures
  • Assess risk using risk management documentation for both reported and confirmed product events
  • Analyze complaint data for statistical trends and communicate opportunities for improvement
  • Develop and implement standard operating procedures and investigative protocols to identify root causes
  • Work with product development, quality engineering, software engineering, and other departments
  • Support fault isolation, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis during system integration and testing
  • Apply modern software/hardware design and development tools and techniques
  • Operate under the guidance of senior engineers or managers
  • Accountable for meeting deliverable commitments including schedule and quality compliance
  • Plan and schedule own work, and coordinate with other software engineers
