Responsibilities

  • Handles reception and distribution of samples for analysis via LIMS or paper system
  • Uses and checks laboratory analysis equipment
  • Performs all activities related to microbiological monitoring of sterile and non-sterile drug production areas, preparing related documentation per current SOPs
  • Conducts environmental monitoring of production departments and supports environmental validation activities
  • Performs biological and microbiological analyses of various water types, clean steam, and compressed gases per current analytical methods
  • Performs biological and microbiological analyses of semi-finished products, finished products, and packaging materials per current analytical methods
  • Issues laboratory documentation and handles its archiving per current SOPs
  • Participates in evaluating materials to purchase for analytical activities and related documentation
  • Prepares trends for plant fluids per current SOPs
  • Maintains instruments, materials, and work environment, promptly communicating anomalies to supervisor
  • Manages waste disposal and any inactivation
  • Performs analytical activities within the department per associated training segments
  • Trains personnel if qualified as SME Trainer
