Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related area
0-2 years of experience in software quality assurance
Basic knowledge of software applications and testing
Basic database knowledge (able to write and execute low level queries)
Willingness to learn and collaborate with the team
Strong written and verbal communication skills; Fluent English language speaker
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Dedicated to continual learning and self-improvement
Able to conduct routine tasks using established practices
Heightened overall analytical aptitude to apply quality assurance (QA) principles to all aspects of work

Responsibilities

Execute test cases and scenarios (functional/integration/regression) and report test results to appropriate stakeholders
Assist in the development of user stories and acceptance criteria within an Agile team
Actively engage in Agile meetings, such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and backlog refinement
Identify and create input data based on specifications; determine output based on business rules
Log issues and system bugs with appropriate detail; set appropriate severity level
Work closely with developers and product owners on the Agile team to devise test cases and test plans that ensure comprehensive coverage of positive and negative test cases against user story requirements
Ensure appropriate test coverage; clearly document and understand which features are covered by manual tests and which are covered by automated tests
Collaborate with QA engineers to identify functions and features that require test automation
Manage acceptance criteria, maintain documentation, user accounts and test data used by the team
Assist other teams as required
