Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in application testing, web testing, API testing and database testing
  • Understanding of API testing and use of tools such as Postman
  • Experience with test management tools, such as JIRA
  • Exposure to dev tools for debugging web applications
  • Familiarity with various testing methodologies, such as black box, white box, and grey box testing
  • Ability to understand complex systems and design test plans and test cases around integration and interface points
  • Exposure towards SDLC, STLC, and experience in setting up end-to-end QA for any products or apps
  • Knowledge of regression, functional, integration, accessibility, and compatibility testing concepts
  • Nice to Haves
  • Knowledge of testing methodologies such as BDD and TDD
  • Experience with Agile development methodology
  • Experience with automated testing tools, such as Selenium
  • Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) pipelines
  • Automation knowledge

Responsibilities

  • Understand the functional requirements in order to plan and execute manual testing
  • Collaborate with the development team to understand the scope of changes and potential areas for regression
  • Well-versed in Usability, Functional, System, Regression, Localization, and Smoke/Sanity testing
  • Identify test cases and scenarios, and execute them manually to assess the quality of the application
  • Identify and document defects, and work with the development team to resolve them
  • Communicate test results and progress to the project lead and stakeholders
  • Debugging applications with API calls using dev tools
