Candidates should have 6+ years of experience in automation software testing, including demonstrated experience with automated testing tools like RestAssured and Selenium. A deep understanding of backend services, API testing, and UI testing approaches is required, along with proficiency in testing REST APIs using tools like Postman. Strong skills in programming languages, particularly Java for test automation, and experience with CI/CD pipelines are essential. Hands-on experience in setting up, configuring, and monitoring CI/CD pipeline tools is also necessary. Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and strong communication and interpersonal skills are expected. A completed undergraduate degree in Health Informatics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field is preferred, and experience in electronic health records or systems integration projects is a plus.
The QA Automation Tester will identify critical and repetitive test cases for automation, overseeing their execution and maintenance. They will design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks, and collaborate to ensure bugs are triaged and resolved promptly, fostering a culture of quality. Responsibilities include developing and executing automation scripts efficiently in an Agile model, adhering to automation best practices, and developing and executing test plans on multiple projects concurrently. Documenting results, identifying root causes with teammates, and proactively developing an in-depth understanding of projects and customer context are key. The role involves collaborating with project teammates to deliver high-quality software that meets customer requirements, ensuring requirements are testable, and delivered solutions are coherent, consistent, and complete. Contributing to project functions by attending standups and planning meetings, participating in risk and hazard identification and analysis, and identifying and resolving issues are also part of the role. A detailed understanding of Smile Digital Health’s products is necessary for planning testing activities. The tester will estimate, prioritize, plan, and coordinate testing activities, mentor new team members, and support QA Leads as needed. Accountability for accurately reporting working hours in Netsuite and ensuring project management tool utilization is critical.
