Responsibilities

Purchase direct materials
Obtain quotes, select suppliers, and make final recommendations
Generate savings to meet targets
Generate purchase orders
Provide general sales support
Lead the group in all its responsibilities and support other groups/areas
Lead negotiations with suppliers
Lead the search for savings opportunities and projects (materials analysis, supply chain analysis, analysis of economic factors in the industry)
Achieve savings goals for all assigned desks
Improve commercial terms (payment terms, payment upon receipt, monthly payment, Incoterms, transfer titles, localization within the region)
Conduct timely supplier selection process
Coordinate/support business transfers between Aptiv plants
Prevent supplier delivery interruptions and supplier location changes
Update multiple reports and presentations (supplier, category, etc.)
Comply with purchasing policies and procedures, and in interactions with other departments
Supervise assigned staff group
Lead initiatives for assigned categories
