Responsibilities

  • Manage and coach the Taiwan Purchasing Team, ensuring accountability and driving results
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of Purchasing and Logistics functions within the Taiwan office
  • Implement processes and best practices related to material management, inventory control, and reducing Excess & Obsolete (E&O) stock
  • Support Sales and Operations Planning and interpret outputs related to purchasing, supply planning, and supplier capacity
  • Foster an open and transparent culture, making decisions that favor high quality and low costs
  • Identify key data points (sales orders, forecasts, supplier capacity, planning settings) to optimize material flow, manage customer expectations, and mitigate supply risk
  • Support procurement activities including New Product Introduction (NPI) and Engineering Change Orders (ECO)
  • Manage material planning for incoming shipments; monitor inventory and sales orders to make adjustments based on forecast changes
  • Support key account projects and improve KPIs such as inventory levels, customer fill rate, slow-moving products, supplier on-time delivery, and year-over-year cost reduction targets (e.g., PPV)
  • Develop and execute mitigation strategies for supply chain risks, including geopolitical, financial, and single-source dependencies
  • Manage supplier relationships locally and globally to maintain/improve product pricing and ensure timely shipments
  • Clearly communicate changes to schedules and expectations to suppliers to drive results
  • Identify and qualify new suppliers and procure new items
  • Drive supplier improvement programs to reduce lead times and improve overall delivery performance
  • Support quality standards (ISO) and apply LEAN methodology to processes
  • Continuously seek ways to improve supplier quality in all processes
