Requirements

1–2 years of experience in residential construction or finish work preferred
Skilled in basic finish carpentry, painting, and repair tasks
Proficiency with hand tools and finish materials
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
Ability to travel between job sites daily

Responsibilities

Complete assigned punch list and finish work including drywall patching, caulking, paint touch-ups, and minor carpentry repairs
Repair or replace interior finishes such as trim, baseboards, moldings, and cabinetry components
Perform final prep tasks including vent hood and window screen installation, filter changes, and general cleanup
Follow all Van Metre field procedures, safety standards, and quality guidelines
Communicate progress, material needs, and issues promptly to Field Managers
Assist with quality checks and homeowner walkthrough preparation as directed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site
