Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Linguistics, or a related field, and have at least 3 years of experience in prompt engineering, conversation design, or a similar role. Strong programming skills, particularly in Python, are required, along with experience with large language models (LLMs) such as GPT-4 and Claude. Familiarity with evaluation frameworks like Promptfoo and OpenAI Evals is also beneficial.
As a Prompt Engineer & Conversation Designer (Backend), you will build automated evaluation pipelines to score prompts and agent flows, act as a bridge between engineering and product teams, define Gen-AI quality metrics and surface them in dashboards, own regression-test coverage, rapidly iterate and fine-tune prompts, architect multi-turn conversation flows, design agent personas and JSON-schema response formats, document prompt patterns, and mentor engineers on prompt safety.
