Requirements

  • Significant experience in a large-scale project management architecture or construction management environment
  • Experience in shipbuilding, cruise ships, or themed entertainment
  • Ability to adapt to evolving project needs and collaborate across diverse teams
  • Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills, including communications for executive management
  • Ability to read and coordinate drawings and 3D using the Autodesk suite
  • Strong knowledge of project management capabilities
  • Expert user of MS Office suite (especially using MS Project, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Ability to guide project team towards resolution of issues through strong facilitation skills, including Designers, Architects and Construction Managers
  • Ability to influence senior management in decision making regarding complex issues
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with studios, WDI partners, vendors, and consultants
  • Ability to influence commercial and schedule issues through clear identification of critical issues and drivers, thoughtful analysis, and well-articulated positions
  • Confidence in guiding teams in a highly matrixed and international environment
  • A collaborative spirit and a passion for storytelling through design
  • Preferred: A degree in a relevant field, such as engineering, architecture, construction management, or equivalent experience
  • Preferred: Experience in shipbuilding, cruise ships, or themed entertainment highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Support and collaborate with the Senior Project Manager on all aspects of project management, from scope, schedule, budget, quality, and delivery; under minimal supervision
  • Set priorities and provide direction to project teams
  • Develop integrated delivery strategies, budgets, schedules, and resource plans
  • Lead change management and risk mitigation and contingency efforts
  • Prepare and negotiate basic contracts and manage contractor compliance
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to influence timelines and outcomes
  • Develop the Capital Authorization Requests
  • Track project documentation and ensure quality deliverables
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous learning
