Candidates must possess a High School Degree/GED and have 1 year of leadership experience in management or supervisory roles, along with 3 years of experience in gas meter exchanges and pilot relights or similar natural gas operations. A willingness to travel up to 70% of the time across the US is required, as is the ability to become a proctor and evaluator for operator qualifications. A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 2+ years of management experience are preferred, as is 3 years of experience in water, gas, and electric meter installation project management. Strong skills in multitasking, independent work, time management, communication (including with management and customers), conflict resolution, attention to detail, leadership, team management, and proficiency with Microsoft 360 are also desired.
The Project Manager will direct personnel, manage staffing, training, planning, and oversee operations and fiscal health, while maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities include managing and maintaining the workforce, ensuring health and safety, maintaining inventory of tools and equipment, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are in proper working condition. The role involves ensuring productivity through staffing and financial monitoring, developing an employee-oriented culture, coaching and mentoring staff, guiding personnel to optimum performance, and adhering to fleet standards. Key duties also include controlling vehicle maintenance and repair, training personnel on safety and accident prevention, collaborating with management on departmental goals and policies, preparing forecasts, monitoring expenses, maintaining records, conducting quality control audits, making personnel recommendations, and providing written communication on operational aspects. Additionally, the Project Manager will work with HR on recruitment and hiring, and ensure customer complaints are resolved in a timely and satisfactory manner.
