Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical)
  • 5+ years’ experience managing capital projects
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements including FDA, EPA, and OSHA
  • Knowledge of engineering project management principles and engineering codes
  • Knowledge of accounting/finance principles (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Provide project engineering and management services for capital and infrastructure projects supporting manufacturing, utilities, and facility operations
  • Lead the full project lifecycle including scope development, cost estimation, design coordination, scheduling, procurement, construction management, commissioning, and turnover documentation
  • Develop project execution strategies, risk assessments, and cost controls to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget
  • Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, contractors, and operators to deliver integrated project solutions
  • Support design development through creation and review of engineering drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and equipment documentation
  • Manage vendor selection, bid evaluation, fabrication oversight, and field installation in collaboration with Procurement and EHS
  • Lead commissioning and Installation Qualification (IQ) activities; provide technical support for Operational Qualification (OQ) and Performance Qualification (PQ) phases as required
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements including FDA, EPA, and OSHA
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, standardization, and implementation of best practices
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers within the department
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Engineering and site initiatives
  • Lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage third-party contractors and engineering service providers as required. May mentor less-experienced engineers
