Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of field experience in infrastructure, roadway, or bridge construction preferred
  • Familiarity with GDOT projects and knowledge of AASHTO and FHWA standards is a plus
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to field offices and job sites as needed
  • Basic knowledge of cost tracking, budget monitoring, and field production documentation
  • Proficiency in construction technologies and software such as Primavera P6, Procore, Bluebeam, and HCSS
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and traffic control plans
  • Strong communication and coordination skills with both field and office teams

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain three-week lookahead schedules for structures, drainage, utilities, and paving activities
  • Monitor and report daily production data using cost codes aligned with the project’s Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Coordinate with field crews to ensure availability of materials, equipment, permits, and resources
  • Manage RFIs, submittals, and field documentation, including redlines and as-built drawings
  • Support compliance with GDOT specifications, TIFIA reporting, and SRTA environmental requirements
  • Attend and contribute to weekly progress and safety meetings with field personnel and stakeholders
  • Track site activity using project documentation systems such as Procore, HCSS, and Bluebeam
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs, estimating, and resource planning in coordination with senior engineers
  • Support quality inspections, material certifications, and permit tracking
  • Participate in project closeout activities, including punch list walks and final documentation
