Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associates degree (or equivalent experience) in Engineering, Finance, Accounting or related field preferred
10 years engineering and/or construction project control experience preferred
Proven written and verbal communication skills
Knowledge of accounting principles, including construction accounting, preferred
Proper attitude and work ethic; willing to work extra time as needed
Proficient in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project; Microsoft Excel required
Knowledge of computer operations and standard software packages (word processing, spreadsheets, Adobe) required
Familiar with interpreting construction drawings, specifications, contracts, estimating and take-offs, and as-built drawings
Ability to work in a consultant setting, track time, and monitor activities against a budget
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-moving environment, work somewhat independently, ask questions, and seek information
Ability to perform complex tasks, handle multiple priorities, and perform under high stress conditions

Responsibilities

Manage a team that develops, updates, and maintains project schedules with project manager and team input in Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project
Perform reviews of baseline and periodic schedule updates for compliance with specifications and overall reasonableness
Perform cost analysis, spend tracking, and earned value reporting to monitor project costs and revenue and forecast final financial outcomes
Work with project management team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information
Support integration of Company systems to track, monitor and control costs; monitor job cost report against key performance indicators (KPIs)
Perform additional assignments per management’s direction
Communicate effectively via phone and in writing with all parties involved including clients, project staff, subcontractors and owners
Ensure assignments are executed with technical proficiency, accuracy, and professionalism
Travel as required to fulfill position and project responsibilities
Make employee safety a priority both in-house and on-site, in accordance with corporate policy
Participate in Project Controls as both team leader and contributor
