Requirements

  • Prefer High School or GED but not required
  • Related industry experience preferred
  • General understanding of processing procedures preferred
  • Experience working in a high-volume warehouse/production facility preferred
  • Knowledge of GMP policy preferred
  • Ability to use and handle sharp knife, peelers, and hand machines
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Limited computer skills
  • Willingness to learn lean Manufacturing processes
  • Able to lift and/or move 25 lb. to 50 lb
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time
  • Must be able to stoop and bend frequently
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States

Responsibilities

  • Performs to standard rate for assigned production line and communicates to leadership when company standard is not met
  • Be aware of production performance KPIs
  • Maintains a safe and clean workspace
  • Ensures work area is washdown ready for sanitation to finish including the floor, tables, cutting boards, and equipment
  • Maintains quality specifications of unfinished products
  • Prepares, cuts, and repacks product per customers’ specifications
  • Operates machinery such as potato peelers, bag sealers, and others
  • Responsible for the cleaning and sanitation of the work area
  • While adhering to sanitation and safety procedures for handling and production to SQF (safe quality food) standards
  • Colleagues must follow GMPs
  • Aiding the line leader with daily transactions and maintaining a safe, organized, clean and efficient operation on their production line
  • Proactively identify and analyze problems and recommend appropriate action to improve performance to the line Leader
  • Ensure that produce of the highest quality is made ready and available for the day’s runs at an acceptable productivity level
