Requirements

High-school degree or equivalent
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, GMP's, and general instructions; good communication skills
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out oral and written instructions
Timely and regular attendance; ability to report to work on time and work entire scheduled shift
Ability to handle and manage stress in a high-volume, fast-paced, complex, and busy environment
Proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Strong problem-solving skills with a “can-do” mindset
Flexibility to work additional hours, overtime, rotating 8-hour shifts, and unplanned hours as needed
Team player attitude; ability to interact positively and cooperate with others
Ability to work alone/unsupervised (make decisions, correct problems, complete tasks)

Knowledge and experience in use of tools
Ability to learn and adapt quickly to changes

Ability to climb steps and vertical ladders up to 10ft high frequently
Ability to work with automatic equipment, pressurized air hoses, high pressure hoses, and hot-steam hoses

Responsibilities

Follow all company Safety Rules and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's)
Produce high quality products in a safe and healthful manner with minimal yield loss
Maintain assigned shift attendance
Make dye
Make coating
Add hand-adds to dry mixes
Run and monitor system on a continuous basis
Perform weekly start-ups, shut-downs, and clean-ups
Perform minor maintenance of department equipment
Keep production and preparation areas clean (sanitation)
Operate forklift, pallet jack, and hand truck
Perform manual tasks required to keep system running
Work as part of a team
Assist fellow employees as needed
