  • Ability to develop, document, and comply with cleaning procedures (e.g., SSOPs, cleaning logs, Master Sanitation Schedule)

Responsibilities

  • Hire, train, retain, and counsel team members on personal/professional issues, benefits, compensation, and company policies
  • Guide team in stretches before shifts and rotate workstations throughout the shift
  • Promote safety daily and through monthly safety meetings
  • Perform day-to-day sanitation of equipment and facility or production management as needed
  • Appraise performance; reward and discipline employees; address complaints and resolve problems
  • Train and document sanitation workers for safe operation and disassembly of equipment
  • Ensure compliance with all safety rules, standards, food safety, quality control, and GMPs
  • Develop, maintain, and comply with Master Sanitation Schedule; systematically develop clear cleaning procedures for equipment and facility areas
  • Work with management and chemical suppliers on chemical/process changes to improve sanitation and reduce costs
  • Protect product during sanitation
  • Supervise, motivate, and train sanitation production workers
  • Coordinate sanitation and production items for the plant; coordinate with Quality Assurance on sanitation issues (e.g., new products, special runs); coordinate with Maintenance on packaging equipment setup
  • Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, accurate shipments, record keeping, inventory rotation, and proper product coding
  • Ensure all workstations are staffed before production start-up
  • Ensure all machinery is performing and workstations have passed USDA inspections
  • Other duties as assigned
