Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED (education beyond high school preferred)
  • 1+ years of management/supervision experience OR minimum six months working as a Tyson Foods Line Lead or similar role in meat processing
  • Basic computer skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
  • Must reside in the United States (sponsorship not available)
  • Some travel required

Responsibilities

  • Hiring, training, retaining, and counseling team members on personal and professional problems; educating on benefits, compensations, and company policies
  • Guiding the team in stretches before shift and rotating workstations throughout the shift
  • Checking daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders, accurate shipments, record keeping, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products
  • Ensuring all workstations on your line are staffed before start-up of production
  • Ensuring all machinery is performing and all workstations have passed USDA Inspection
  • Promoting safety daily as well as through monthly safety meetings
  • Overseeing various processing operations and working with other supervisors in solving problems
  • Providing continuous education on the importance of quality
  • Performing other responsibilities as the need arises
  • Maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible; understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, and general line maintenance and staffing
