Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience (purchasing or planning accounts/commodities) with a Bachelor’s Degree (or may be trained)
  • Manufacturing experience
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Comfort with complexity and ambiguity
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with team members at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail, listening skills, influencing style, and proactive measures
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Bilingual (English and Korean)

Responsibilities

  • Organize production according to demand and quality standards
  • Handle production planning, capacity planning, and scheduling following customers’ requirements and sales team requests
  • Establish production schedule for each order and communicate/resolve issues related to discrepancies between requested and promised due dates
  • Interface with customers, suppliers, and internal resources for management
  • Manage assurance of supply issues
  • Monitor material market conditions, develop, and communicate plans to mitigate risk to customer schedule
  • Interface daily with Manufacturing Manager to communicate schedule changes
  • Contribute to cost reduction program by making viable business recommendations and process improvement ideas
  • Create and maintain tracking tools for cost reduction initiatives
