Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED) preferred
  • Previous safety training preferred
  • Previous manufacturing experience preferred
  • Experience assisting with changeovers preferred
  • Experience working in a team-oriented environment preferred
  • Ability to work night shift
  • Physical demands include standing, walking, using hands, reaching, sitting, climbing, stooping, kneeling, and crawling
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Specific vision abilities required include close, distance, color, peripheral, and depth vision

Responsibilities

  • Setting up bakery equipment and manufacturing lines
  • Establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products per production guidelines
  • Ensuring compliance with Production/Packaging procedure/practices and inspecting equipment for issues
  • Reporting equipment issues to the supervisor or manager promptly
  • Completing and submitting daily production reports
  • Visually inspecting product for quality and quantity
  • Monitoring runs and performing basic troubleshooting on bakery equipment
  • Supporting quality control programs to ensure adherence to food safety and quality standards
  • Complying with all safety procedures, including lock out/tag out
  • Maintaining a safe and clean environment by adhering to safety policy, 5S SOP, SSOP, and GMP procedures
  • Responsible for disassembly and sanitization of bakery equipment to meet food safety requirements
  • May perform other duties not listed
