Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience
Proven experience in production management within a design/build manufacturing environment
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Expertise in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies
Profound understanding of custom sheet metal, electrical, and welding manufacturing environments
Demonstrated ability to adapt processes to meet unique project requirements
Familiarity with ISO 9001, UL 508A / UL 891 / UL 1008, NEMA, and NEC compliance standards
Proficiency in project management software and ERP systems (e.g., Acumatica, SAP, Oracle), Smartsheets, and Google's software suite
Ability to pass a drug/alcohol test, random drug testing, and background check
Embody company values
(Bonus) Experience with a "start-up" or "greenfield" manufacturing environment

Responsibilities

Oversee all aspects of production, including metal processing, fabrication, paint, and electrical work
Develop and implement detailed production plans to meet unique project specifications and align with organizational goals
Utilize Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
Partner with upper management to develop standard operating procedures (SOPs), identify opportunities for process enhancement, and implement strategies to streamline operations
Collaborate closely with department managers, Project Managers, Scheduling, Sales, and Engineering teams to optimize workflows and ensure seamless project alignment and delivery
Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to department managers and team members
Conduct performance evaluations and support professional development initiatives to enhance team effectiveness and individual growth
Efficiently manage space utilization within the manufacturing facility to optimize production capabilities
Evaluate machine resources to optimize equipment downtime and production capacity while establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs
