Requirements

  • Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering or Process Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years relevant work experience in a chemical manufacturing environment
  • Result-orientated, proactive, self-starting attitude and able to work in a fast-moving environment
  • Natural assertive leader, with the ability to lead, influence and motivate without direct reporting line and to communicate at all levels
  • Excellent appreciation for EHS and Process Safety Standards
  • Strong analytical and conceptual thinker with strong project management skills
  • Work experience in a LEAN operations environment (LEAN Green Belt education is a plus)
  • High level of adaptability with the ability to manage changing circumstances and ambiguity within a production environment
  • Fluent in German and English

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible and drive the performance in the assigned production area with main focus on EHS, PSM, quality and output
  • Define, implement and train production standards and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
  • Monitor daily production and ensure the follow up of deviations between planning and execution
  • Drive continuous improvement by using LEAN tools to reduce losses (quality, speed, performance) and to sustainably improve quality and output performance
  • Lead problem solving initiatives, define specific and relevant improvement actions to sustainably eliminate the root cause and take responsibility in the execution
  • Review and update standards and SOPs to ensure incorporation of the latest improvements applying the PDCA cycle methodology, and conduct required trainings
  • Actively drive the LEAN culture
  • Functionally lead associates including long term operational planning as well as defining training needs for individuals
