Requirements

  • Ability to work 1st shift (7:15am to 3:45am, Mon-Fri) at Sturgis, MI plant
  • Capability to efficiently clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and areas during short time periods between production shifts
  • Knowledge or ability to follow approved cleaning and sanitizing processes, company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs), master cleaning schedule/checklist, and food safety standards
  • Ability to perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervision
  • Coordination with maintenance team to align cleaning schedule with equipment work

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned plant areas are properly cleaned and free from contamination to meet sanitation standards
  • Completely clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas efficiently
  • Provide oversight and involvement in cleaning and sanitization processes for food processing equipment and facilities
  • Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures
  • Follow all company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning equipment and facility
