Requirements

Ability to work 1st shift (7:15am to 3:45am, Mon-Fri) at Sturgis, MI plant
Capability to efficiently clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and areas during short time periods between production shifts
Knowledge or ability to follow approved cleaning and sanitizing processes, company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs), master cleaning schedule/checklist, and food safety standards
Ability to perform pre-inspection of clean equipment before requesting supervision
Coordination with maintenance team to align cleaning schedule with equipment work

Responsibilities

Ensure assigned plant areas are properly cleaned and free from contamination to meet sanitation standards
Completely clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas efficiently
Provide oversight and involvement in cleaning and sanitization processes for food processing equipment and facilities
Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures
Follow all company Sanitation standard operating procedures (SOPs) for cleaning equipment and facility
