Responsibilities

  • Ensure assigned areas are properly cleaned using approved cleaning and sanitizing processes
  • Completely clean and sanitize processing and production equipment and plant areas to meet sanitation standards efficiently during short periods between production shifts
  • Follow a master cleaning schedule/checklist and standard operating procedures, with training provided
  • Work with the maintenance team to align cleaning schedule with equipment maintenance
  • Provide oversight and involvement in cleaning and sanitization processes for food processing equipment and facilities
  • Prevent cross contamination of product, work-in-progress, food contact surfaces, and food contact packaging during sanitation procedures
