Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED or local equivalent or 6 months of manufacturing experience
  • Ability to communicate, receive and understand instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Demonstrated ability to detail and quality-minded work habits
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with co-workers and leadership
  • Willing to submit to a background investigation (e.g., verification of past employment, criminal history, educational background)
  • Willing to take a drug test
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Willing to work out of an office located in Salt Lake City, Utah
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (floor to waist, waist to crown level, horizontally)
  • Able to perform frequent simple grasping, firm grasping, fine manipulation, neck rotation, and neck flexion
  • Able to twist, push/pull, reach at, above and below shoulder height frequently
  • Able to frequently stoop and bend; occasionally squat and kneel
  • Able to stand/sit continuously throughout the day
  • Able to ascend/descend/balance occasionally on portable step stool
  • Complies with attendance policies and willing to work voluntary overtime when needed

Responsibilities

  • Performs entry to mid-level manufacturing/assembly operations on production line and other various tasks following procedures, work instructions, and process aid sheets
  • Uses lift platforms, hoist, torque tools, and other power hand tools to assemble machines
  • Reads and follows work procedures or receives verbal instructions regarding duties to be performed
  • Maintains daily production output
  • Cross trains and works in multiple functions for business flexibility
  • Follows all EHS and Quality policies and procedures
  • May participate in quality control inspections
  • Works with team lead, engineers, supervisors, and managers to improve quality and process efficiency
  • Complies with EHS regulations and policies
  • Other duties as assigned, including quality activities, training sessions, and employee activity teams
  • Aware of and comply with the GEHC Quality Manual, Quality Management System, Quality Management Policy, Quality Goals, and applicable laws and regulations
  • Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within defined deadlines
  • Identify and report any quality or compliance concerns and take immediate corrective action as required
  • Knowledge and understanding of production process, work instructions, documentation configuration control, non-conforming & rework documentation requirements
  • Aware of and comply with Stop Order, Concessions, ESD, Calibration, Preventative Maintenance, Material Identification & Segregation, and Good Documentation Practices
