Responsibilities

Assemble components into medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures, including miniature components under a microscope
Perform in-process quality checks on sub-assemblies and finished product
Utilize small hand tools, calibrated instruments, measurement equipment, microscopes, and custom fixtures/tools/assembly aids
Work with engineers and technicians to resolve process issues and suggest improvements daily and ongoing
Maintain accurate and timely records/documentation related to quality, work in progress, test results, labor, and special projects
Strictly adhere to general safety rules, manufacturing procedures, company policies, Good Manufacturing Practices, and FDA regulations
Train other assemblers on a wide range of tasks
Perform solder touch-up or solder parts as a secondary operation
Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and rework parts to incorporate engineering changes
Disassemble, modify, rework, refurbish, reassemble, test units, and correct malfunctions as required
Assemble and install various electrical or electronic components per blueprints, diagrams, verbal instructions, or established practices
Use specialized hand tools including solder irons, wire strippers, wrenches, screwdrivers, and pliers
Handle small, delicate parts with high accuracy for routine tasks in preparation for assembly
Follow method sheets to ensure documented and controlled processes for assembling electronic components
Keep a clean and well-maintained workspace
Discern quality of parts and materials used in production
