Candidates should have 5+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years focused on Risk, Fraud, or Trust & Safety products. Strong analytical skills and comfort working with data are essential, along with demonstrated success in delivering products involving fraud detection, scoring, or prevention systems. Familiarity with fraud typologies like ATO, card fraud, and bank fraud, as well as experience integrating or evaluating third-party vendors, is required. The ability to balance customer friction, fraud loss, and system performance, coupled with clear, collaborative communication across technical and non-technical stakeholders, is also necessary. Bonus points for understanding 3DS, device intelligence, or identity verification flows.
The Product Manager for Risk will be responsible for defining and delivering tools to protect customers from financial crime, owning the product roadmap and execution. This includes working cross-functionally with Engineering, Data, and Ops, integrating with vendors, and designing systems for real-time fraud detection and prevention. Key duties involve collaborating with product designers, data analysts, and engineering teams to create detailed product specifications, reviewing technical capabilities, prioritizing projects, and steering the fraud risk product roadmap. The role also entails working with internal stakeholders and external customers to identify high-impact risk features, leading end-to-end product delivery from scoping to execution and documentation, and managing integrations with fraud and identity vendors. Additionally, the Product Manager will design new fraud detection methods and tools, monitor data to build a robust fraud detection and prevention system, and ultimately build a best-on-class Risk solution.
