Requirements

  • Must be fascinated with gamers and what drives their enthusiasm and loyalty
  • Bachelor’s degree with gaming or consumer products experience or MBA. Business, Engineering or Marketing degree preferred
  • 5+ years experience in product marketing, business development, product or project management, or another related field
  • Knowledge of the gaming space either through industry experience or lifelong passion
  • Ability to use instinct to leverage consumer/market research & behavioural data to formulate insights that inform strategic plans and product roadmaps
  • Strategic thinker with a global mindset who can accurately assess strategic priorities and identify core gamer needs
  • Excellent time management skills; able to drive results across multiple parallel processes across multiple regions under tight deadlines
  • Uses understanding of cultural differences to influence actions and decisions
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across cross-functional and global teams and at all levels of the organization. Must genuinely like interaction with people and contributing to a group
  • PlayStation fan, is a huge plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and championing a product strategy for limited edition and custom variant products over an 18-month horizon, rooted in deep insights into gamer passions and market trends and our ability to execute on them
  • Assist in the creation of product roadmaps by leveraging consumer research, behavioral data and gamer feedback to identify opportunities that drive engagement and fandom
  • Act as the voice of the gamer, ensuring products align with their desires and enhance their experience, while bringing concepts to life
  • Interact with internal teams and game studios to ensure products align with product vision and broader brand goals and market strategies
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure products resonate with target audience
  • Interface with Brand Marketing, Project Management and commercial groups to ensure alignment with strategy and product release plans
  • Define and ensure key performance indicators such as unit sales, gamer sentiment are tracked, using data to iterate and optimize product offerings
  • Stay ahead of industry trends and cultural shifts to anticipate gamer needs and position products for maximum impact
  • Assist Marketing Operations in the creation of quarterly postmortem analysis on product performance and gamer reception to incorporate learnings and refine processes
  • Along with the organization deliver on KPIs such as unit sales, profit and gamer sentiment
