Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Computer Science, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in Product Management in Asset Management, Wealth Management, Finance or related industries
  • Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager
  • Strong technical background with understanding of software development and web technologies
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to develop product strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
  • Ability to analyze industry trends and competitor behavior to inform product strategies
  • Experience in an environment where products are primary vendor-led
  • Deep understanding of the Investment Management industry and processes
  • Ideally an understanding of credit, credit investments and lifecycle
  • Understanding of the client/investor journey across investment management/financial services
  • Experience in direct private lending, syndicated loans and structured credit (a plus)
  • Experience with Allvue (a plus)
  • Willingness to travel to Chicago or Los Angeles on a monthly cadence (depending on base location)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct market/user research to identify customer needs and competitive vendor products
  • Define product outcomes and objectives within focus areas
  • Oversee the design, manufacture, and implementation of the product/s and solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and launch
  • Help to develop product business case and positioning strategies
  • Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes, as well as ensure execution meets requirements
  • Drive product launches and evaluate implementation plans
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
  • Oversee the entire lifecycle of a product or major initiative, from initial concept to market launch and beyond
  • Conduct research, define product strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the product meets customer needs and business objectives
  • Drive change within the product, operations, and technology teams, as well as stakeholders across the Investment areas
