Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to launch new services, features, and enhancements on time and within budget
  • Gather input to define product concepts, justify expenditures, define and analyze markets, evaluate technologies, develop detailed product features and requirements, and develop implementation plans
  • Participate in product modification, cost reduction, margin analysis, advertising and promotion, forecasting, product positioning, and pricing strategies
  • Manage profit and loss or budgetary responsibilities for assigned products
  • Direct the product planning and scheduling process according to sales volume, inventory requirements, and materials availability
  • Establish and implement policies and procedures needed to achieve goals
  • Develop, mentor, and train Specialists to ensure department work performance and objectives are met
  • Manage, gather, and analyze competitive intelligence data for product lines
  • Provide product support and documentation and develop product materials
  • Serve as a major resource to other product managers, assisting in resolution of complex problems or leading larger projects
  • Lead cross-functional teams to envision new product features
  • Coordinate among cross-functional internal and external resources to ensure products get to market per specifications, within budget, and on schedule
  • Manage team which may include exempt and non-exempt employees and provide subject matter guidance
  • Develop processes and procedures to drive department efficiencies and assist in development of and meeting departmental budget
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
