Product Designer

Position Overview

ZipRecruiter is seeking a Product Designer to partner with product managers and engineers to define and deliver new products and features impacting millions of users. This role will drive UX development across the organization and advocate for the best experiences for our job seekers and employers.

Key Focuses

  • Collaboration: Lead collaboration with product managers, engineers, and the design team to conceptualize and create innovative experiences for job seekers and employers.
  • UX Ownership: Take UX ownership of significant and complex product areas, designing sophisticated interactions and interfaces.
  • Design Leadership: Lead design reviews and other team-wide design efforts.
  • Innovation: Elevate innovation through self-initiated and self-directed exploration projects.
  • User Research: Participate in user experience research and usability studies.
  • Iteration: Iterate on designs based on learnings from research, A/B testing, and other qualitative methods.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent experience in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, HCI, Product Design, Interaction Design, Information Design, or a related field.
  • 0-2+ years of Product Design experience.
  • Strong familiarity with design techniques including storyboarding, information architecture, interaction models, user research, and wireframes.
  • Experience with Figma and FigJam.
  • Experience creating complex prototypes using Figma, Principle, Framer, code, or other prototyping tools.
  • A design portfolio showcasing work with case studies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working cross-functionally with engineers, product managers, and designers in a fast-paced environment.
  • Understanding of how motion design influences UI and interaction design.
  • 4+ years of Product Design experience.

Salary

  • US Base Salary Range: $115,000 - $155,000 per year.
    • Note: Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is influenced by work location, role-related knowledge and skills, depth of experience, relevant education or training, and other considerations.
  • Compensation may also include equity, bonuses, or commission, in addition to benefits.
