Ability to write routine reports and correspondence

Responsibilities

Check produce in slots daily to ensure product set up for shipping meets acceptable standards
Communicate with buyers all quality issues and assist in resolving them to ensure highest quality products for customers
Ensure products are rotated properly during daily slot checking and communicate rotation problems to stockers and/or supervisors
Monitor variance reports for accurate accounting of spoilage, warehouse damage, truck damage, etc
Greet all internal and external customers in a friendly and efficient manner to maintain proper customer service, satisfaction, and organizational efficiency
Inspect inbound freight, warehoused product, and/or outbound product and document product condition
Correspond regularly with necessary parties on the company's status on product quality
Analyze, identify, and propose action to solve problems associated with Quality Assurance
Observe all safety rules, regulations, and sanitation policies
Monitor the quality of perishable products in the warehouse on an ongoing basis
Input orders through data entry
Perform extensive customer service duties
Perform other related duties as required
Regularly exercise discretion and independent judgment in performing duties related to produce quality control
