Requirements

BS degree in Engineering or Plastics Field, related technical degree, or equivalent experience
3+ years of related experience
Proven development and implementation of process control procedures
Experience leading capital projects and managing process improvement efforts
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong computer skills (MS Office programs)
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Collaborative, customer-focused attitude
Ability to promote a safety-driven culture

Responsibilities

Own process definition in the plant and drive initiatives to improve process control
Drive improvements in productivity, quality (internal and external), and standardization
Integrate and document engineered solutions
Develop solutions to support ongoing manufacturing and equipment safety initiatives
Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and production teams
Lead small to medium-scale cross-functional process improvement teams and projects
Support Senior Engineer on large-scale projects
Develop business cases and write Capital Appropriation Requests
Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers
Provide and maintain a safe working environment and encourage safe work practices
Collaborate with Maintenance and Die Shop to provide a safe and efficient production environment
Create and/or update plant or machinery drawings
Negotiate with and oversee suppliers and contractors
Establish and maintain documentation and electronic files (SOPs, SMPs, Risk Assessments, etc.)
Perform other duties as assigned
