Requirements

  • BS degree in Engineering or Plastics Field, related technical degree, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of related experience
  • Proven development and implementation of process control procedures
  • Experience leading capital projects and managing process improvement efforts
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer skills (MS Office programs)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Collaborative, customer-focused attitude
  • Ability to promote a safety-driven culture

Responsibilities

  • Own process definition in the plant and drive initiatives to improve process control
  • Drive improvements in productivity, quality (internal and external), and standardization
  • Integrate and document engineered solutions
  • Develop solutions to support ongoing manufacturing and equipment safety initiatives
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with technical and production teams
  • Lead small to medium-scale cross-functional process improvement teams and projects
  • Support Senior Engineer on large-scale projects
  • Develop business cases and write Capital Appropriation Requests
  • Provide technical expertise to internal and external customers
  • Provide and maintain a safe working environment and encourage safe work practices
  • Collaborate with Maintenance and Die Shop to provide a safe and efficient production environment
  • Create and/or update plant or machinery drawings
  • Negotiate with and oversee suppliers and contractors
  • Establish and maintain documentation and electronic files (SOPs, SMPs, Risk Assessments, etc.)
  • Perform other duties as assigned
