Requirements

Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or related Engineering degree
5 or more years of working experience within chemical process manufacturing or equivalent
Previous experience in chemical operations (advantageous)
Project experience within the chemical process field (desired)
Experience in executing equipment qualifications (IQ/OQ/PQ) and DOEs
Knowledge of automation systems
Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis related to chemical processes
Ability to travel outside of the US
Frequent walking, bending, stooping, and carrying materials up to 15 lbs
Occasional use of stairs up to 4 stories and straight ladders up to 20 feet
Ability to wear PPE (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection) for several hours
Tolerance for some exposure to high noise areas
Ability to use a computer (MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and other job-related software) for 8 hours a day

Responsibilities

Prepare and review performance and functional requirements, risk management, procedures, and other associated project related documents
Be part of installing, validating, and qualifying new equipment and the startup of new chemical processes
Work hands-on to define parameters for equipment and recipes to meet quality goals
Apply analytical and quantitative problem-solving methods for chemical process systems
Facilitate manufacturing and project reviews through preparation of Process Maps, FMEA, and Risk-Mitigation Plans
Work side by side with the engineering team on improvement projects: identify, analyze, and drive process issues to resolution including deviation management and change control management
Assist with deployment of world class distributed control systems, changes and improvements to systems, and training of end users
Help establish resin processes on the site to support all parts of manufacturing
