Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams. A deep technical interest in Chemical Engineering and the ability to coach others in technical knowledge and skills are also required.
The Senior Principal Process Engineer will provide technical leadership and expertise for production operations, including coaching front-line engineers, developing process knowledge, and optimizing processes and equipment. Responsibilities include supporting manufacturing operations for small molecule or peptides, championing statistical thinking, reviewing technical documents and root cause analyses, and identifying process knowledge gaps. The role also involves supporting the basis of safety for process equipment, providing engineering support for Process Safety Management and Process Hazard Reviews, and reviewing equipment qualification basis. Additionally, the engineer will integrate modeling and simulation into processes, identify continuous improvement opportunities, lead tech transfers, and provide technical oversight for equipment qualification and development documentation.
