Requirements
Ability to work onsite at Raleigh, NC HQ four days a week
Experience in private label product development, sourcing, design, and production
Knowledge of market trends analysis and customer preferences research
Skills in cross-functional collaboration with global teams (e.g., Taipei sourcing, U.S. category management, quality assurance)
Expertise in global sourcing from domestic and international markets
Proficiency in vendor relationship management, negotiations, product specifications, packaging, labeling, MOQs, and shipping models
Project management capabilities for timelines, schedules, and budgets
Financial acumen including P&L ownership, margin management, KPIs (e.g., inventory turn, speed to market), sales forecasting, and profitability objectives
Understanding of quality assurance standards to minimize returns
Knowledge of international trade compliance, laws, regulations, product classification, and import/export requirements
Responsibilities
Coordinate the sourcing, design, and production of private label products, ensuring alignment with quality standards and brand strategy
Analyze market trends and customer preferences to recommend merchandise assortments that meet financial targets and demands
Conduct market research to inform product development and assortment planning
Facilitate communication and collaboration among global sourcing team in Taipei, U.S. category management team, and product quality assurance team
Partner with Taipei Sourcing Team to lead sourcing from domestic and international markets; identify and establish relationships with new vendors for diverse, cost-effective, high-quality supply
Assist in developing and maintaining vendor relationships; collaborate on specifications, evaluate performance, and negotiate terms for pricing and innovation
Assist in project management by developing timelines for new projects and launches, ensuring adherence to schedules and budgets
Assist in merchandising strategies, sales targets, profitability objectives; monitor financial metrics like cost savings, supplier performance, revenue growth
Own P&L for private label products, manage margins and financial KPIs (e.g., inventory turn, speed to market)
Assist in quality assurance to meet standards, minimize returns, and enhance customer satisfaction
Ensure compliance with international trade laws, including product classification, documentation, and import/export requirements
Drive contribution margin improvements via product development, pricing, sourcing; support sales forecasting and assortment planning
Identify cost-saving opportunities through vendor negotiations, supply chain efficiencies, and optimized shipping
Align merchandising strategies with company financial goals; monitor metrics like inventory turnover, margins, supplier performance, revenue growth, and speed-to-market
